Lineage, created 2014-2017:
This series is where I began to explore postpartum depression and motherhood through art. I was quiet and secretive about my severe postpartum depression and anxiety, and how it profoundly changed me, until my second child was born. I finally started to let that emotion and symbolism into my work and it drastically changed my style over the following years. This was the series that laid the foundation for the work created for Disconnected that exhibited at the Charleston City Gallery in 2018.
